Here are four things to know:
1. CHI St. Vincent North in Sherwood, Ark., will house the new institute. The space is estimated to be double the size of their current lab.
2. Arkansas Neuroscience Institute expects the new lab to break ground in the spring of 2018 and finish by the end of 2018.
3. At the new lab, Emad Aboud, MD, will lead classes using cadavers to simulate brain or spine surgery.
4. Researchers and physicians at Arkansas Neuroscience Institute will begin to expand research on brain cancers progression.
