When asked whether they would ever upcode or overstate a patient’s condition to get treatment covered, physicians reported the following in 2014 vs. 2010:
• Yes — 25 percent (in 2014) vs. 17 percent (in 2010)
• No — 66 percent vs. 73 percent
• It depends — 9 percent vs. 10 percent
