Anesthesiologists, orthodontists top the list for highest-paying healthcare jobs, CareerTrends reports

Graphiq’s CareerTrends gathered Bureau of Labor Statistics data to ascertain which employees in the healthcare industry bring home the largest paychecks.

The research site focused on three major industry sectors: “general health practitioner’s offices; home health care services; and disability and mental health facilities.”

 

Here are the top five highest-paying jobs in healthcare and their corresponding average annual salaries:

 

1. Anesthesiologists: $219,810

 

2. Orthodontists: $209,350

 

3. Internists: $205,865

 

4. Psychiatrists: $205,723

 

5. Surgeons: $202,510
