Anderson Healthcare to expand with new hospital providing spine, orthopedic services

Maryvville, Ill.-based Anderson Healthcare plans to expand with a new hospital in Edwardsville, Ill., providing care for spine and orthopedic conditions, reports The Telegraph.

Four insights:

1. The health system filed plans for the $22 million hospital with the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board.

2. The Edwardsville-based hospital will treat spinal cord injury, orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions and neurological disorders among other conditions.

3. The new facility will occupy an approximate 50,000-square-foot space, feature 34 beds and employ 80 staff members.

4. Pending approval, the hospital could break ground in the summer of 2020 and open in the fall of 2021.
