American Orthopedic Partners adds clinical leadership position

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.-based American Orthopedic Partners named Ted Schlegel, MD, as senior vice president of clinical excellence, according to a Dec. 6 news release.

Dr. Schlegel has more than 30 years of experience in orthopedics and most recently worked at Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Denver. He co-founded Steadman Hawkins Clinic and established a strategic partnership with Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth and the University of Colorado School of Medicine to form a sports medicine facility.

Dr. Schlegel’s clinical work and research has focused on regenerative medicine. He also spent 18 years as the team physician for the Denver Broncos.

“[Dr. Schlegel’s]vast experience in the orthopedic profession will help us continue to build a national orthopedic practice that focuses on quality care and clinical value,” American Orthopedic Partners CEO Jay Bronner said in the release.
