AMA, LexisNexis Risk Solutions unveil portal for updated provider info in real time: 5 things to know

The American Medical Association teamed up with LexisNexis Risk Solutions to create the Verify Health Care Portal.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. The Verify Health Care Portal is a component of VerifyHCP, designed to update provider directories.

 

2. The portal leverages payer directory information with LexisNexis Health Care’s provider databases to supply updated information via linking technology that pre-populates the portal.

 

3. VerifyHCP takes a payer approach, streamlining and centralizing the process of network directory management.

 

4. In real time, the portal pre-fills, collects, monitors, cleanses and updates data.

 

5. Additionally, the portal meets federal and state legislation requirements and allows provider organizational structures and associations attestation needs; attestation at the provider network level; and office manager and group attestation.
