AAOS President Urges Action on SGR Repeal

Daniel Berry, MD, president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, has sent a Call to Action letter for AAOS membership regarding a permanent solution to the Medicare sustainable growth rate formula.

The letter urges orthopedic surgeons to contact their Congressional representatives showing support for a full SGR repeal by signing a letter circulated by Dan Benishek (R-Mich.) and Joe Crowley (D-N.Y.). The letter proposes Congress fund the repeal with savings from the United States troop withdrawals from Iraq and Afghanistan.
