Here are four things to know:
1. The participating groups include:
• AARP
• American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network
• American Diabetes Association
• American Heart Association
• American Hospital Association
• American Medical Association
• Federation of American Hospitals
• March of Dimes
2. The groups will host events in Colorado, Ohio, Nevada and West Virginia to begin, touching on insurance affordability, care access, Medicaid protection and employer-sponsored health insurance protection.
3. The first event will take place in Cleveland on June 15. AMA President David Barbe, MD, will moderate the event, which will include local patients and providers.
4. The events will address how the American Health Care Act would impact individual states, as well.
