1. Take advantage of “social proof” and send the email to multiple people/stakeholders within the company.
2. Provide a reason for the request.
3. Use humor.
4. Include digits in the subject line, statistics and data in the body and no more than three options or paragraphs in the physical construction of the writing.
5. Keep the email short, roughly 140 characters if possible.
6. Use the recipient’s name more than once.
7. Be specific.
