7 Midwest orthopedic practice updates in 30 days

Here are seven orthopedic practice openings, acquisitions and partnerships in the Midwest that Becker’s has reported on since July 15:

1. Watertown (Wis.) Regional Medical Center entered into a partnership with Madison-based Orthopedic & Spine Centers of Wisconsin. 

2. Iowa City-based Steindler Orthopedics opened its eighth location in Cedar Rapids.

3. Mercy Health — Kings Mills Hospital opened a full-service orthopedic practice on its campus in Mason, Ohio.

4. Franklin-based Orthopedic Institute of Wisconsin sold its 14 groups and two ASCs to management services organization Surgery Partners.

5. Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare opened a new orthopedic office in Peru, Ill.

6. Moline, Ill.-based ORA Orthopedics broke ground on a new $50 million location in Bettendorf, Iowa.

7. Columbus, Ohio-based Nationwide Children’s Hospital opened a $179 million orthopedic facility.
