Here are six thing to know:
1. Resurgens has 95 physicians and 27 locations.
2. Resurgens Orthopaedics’ Austell, Ga., location became the first practice in the region to offer robotic assisted total knee replacements using Smith + Nephew’s CORI Surgical System in September 2023.
3. Resurgens also marked its 500th knee replacement with Stryker’s Mako robot in 2023.
4. In 2021, the practice launched a private equity-backed platform after earning investment from New York City-based Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe. The platform was named United Musculoskeletal Partners in 2022.
5. The practice was founded by John Garrett, MD, in 1986. Thirteen years later, seven physician groups merged to form one group under Resurgens’ name.
