6 orthopedic physicians join Illinois health system

OSF HealthCare has partnered with Great Plains Orthopedics to bring on six orthopedic surgeons and specialists, The Pantagraph reported Sept. 13.

Under the partnership, Great Plains Orthopedics physicians will provide care at the OSF St. Joseph Medical Center’s emergency department.

This is the second partnership between the two Peoria, Ill.-based groups. A previous agreement brought 13 surgeons to work at OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Great Plains Orthopedics serves six other locations in Central Illinois.
