The pilot at Carrell Clinic began in January 2023, and OrthoLoneStar will encourage the adoption of Mend’s services among its 180 physicians, according to an April 10 news release. Mend’s services aim to improve patient outcomes.

“The program is evidence-based and addresses key clinical parameters that the Joint Commission is seeking,” orthopedic surgeon Paul Peters, MD, said in the release. “We have seen demonstrable benefits from the program and are proud to have led the way for our network to expand the use of this outcomes-focused platform and set of solutions.”

OrthoLoneStar is the largest independent orthopedic practice in Texas with 35 locations.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
