Webster Springs, W.Va.-based Webster Memorial Hospital is opening the Orthopedic Outreach Clinic at the Cowen Clinic in March, according to a March 7 report from My Buckhannon.
The initiative will provide residents of the rural county access to orthopedic care.
Beginning March 15, orthopedic surgeon Walt Boardwine, DO, will see scheduled patients for orthopedic conditions like osteoarthritis, cubital tunnel syndrome, lateral epicondylitis, medial epicondylitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, ligament injuries of the knee, trigger finger, and orthopedic conditions of the knees, hips, shoulders, wrists, arms, legs, elbows, fingers and lower extremities. He will also see pre- and postoperative surgical patients.
Dr. Boardwine has practiced orthopedic medicine for more than 35 years, joining Davis Medical Center in Elkins, W.Va., in 2015.
