Chicago-based Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush and Rockford-based OrthoIllinois began working under OrthoMidwest Jan. 1, MOR said in a Jan. 3 news release. Aggregating allows both practices to remain autonomous while strengthening their position in the market.

“As the healthcare market continues to change, we are making decisions to help secure our future as an independent practice for the benefit of our patients,” OrthoIllinois CEO Anthony Brown said in the release.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
