55% of Physicians Give Office Staff Raises & Bonuses

Around 55 percent of physicians report giving practice staff bonuses even when they are also giving raises, according to a Medscape Clinical & Office Staff Salary Report.

Another 20 percent said they give bonuses to office staff but only if they are not giving raises. For those who give bonuses, 55 percent report a bonus level of 1 percent to 2 percent bonuses and 35 percent report a bonus level of 3 percent to 5 percent.

 

There were 25 percent of the physician respondents that said they do not give staff bonuses.
