Here are five insights:
1. Fifty-two percent of the surveyed physicians reported they see patients monthly who have health insurance coverage issues because of inaccurate directories of in-network physicians.
2. Of those surveyed, 89 percent said it’s important that they are accurately represented in network directories.
3. Seventy-six percent of physicians believe it’s very important payer directories accurately represent their practice information.
4. Forty-six percent of physicians receive payer request for updates to their directories.
5. The survey found 68 percent of physicians provide payers with information updates.
