Summit Health is a Berkeley Heights, N.J.-based physician-led health network formed in 2019 as a merger of Summit Medical Group and CityMD, an urgent care provider. Active Orthopedics & Sports Medicine’s three locations and 17 care providers will join Summit Health’s 1,600 providers and more than 200 locations in New Jersey and New York.

“Joining Summit Health will benefit our patients with access to the whole of Summit Health’s multispecialty services, including physical therapy, imaging, primary care, urgent care and more, to yield better outcomes and the best possible continuity of care,” said Michael Gross, MD, founder and managing partner of Active Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

The group will rebrand to Active Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, a Summit Health Company.
