5 things to know on The Spine Hospital of Louisiana at The NeuroMedical Center

The Spine Hospital of Louisiana is a five-star, physician-owned, 23 inpatient bed hospital located within The NeuroMedical Center Campus in Baton Rouge, La.

The comprehensive, neurological campus consists of three separate entities: The Spine Hospital of Louisiana, The NeuroMedical Center Clinic and the The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital. The campus offers patients the full spectrum of specialized care for the brain, spine and nervous system.

Here are five things to know:

1. Formerly known as The NeuroMedical Center Surgical Hospital, The Spine Hospital of Louisiana changed its name in 2014 to reflect what it does best — spine surgery (2,000 cases annually).

 

2. The Spine Hospital of Louisiana is home to all 10 operating neurosurgeons in the Greater Baton Rouge area, two ortho-spine physicians, eight neurologists, five pain medicine/PM&R physicians, two neuropsychologists, two clinical psychologists and two neuroradiologists.

 

3. Along with 23 surgical beds, The Spine Hospital of Louisiana is fully equipped with four operating rooms, four pain procedure rooms, a state-of-the-art Imaging Center, a laboratory recognized as a “Lab of Excellence” by COLA eight years straight, and a nationally-accredited sleep center.

 

4. The Spine Hospital of Louisiana has one of the lowest HAI rates in the country (0.022 percent in 2015).

 

5. Robert D. Blair is the President and CEO of The Spine Hospital. Allison Doherty is the VP of Finance and CFO. Monica Nijoka is the VP of Clinical and CNO.
