$5.3M Mercyhealth hospital renovation to expand orthopedic services, add 35 jobs

Javon Bea Hospital-Rockton in Rockford, Ill., is set to undergo a $5.3 million renovation that will expand orthopedic care with a 17-bed sub-acute care unit, reports the Journal Standard.

Three things to know:

1. The project will add 35 jobs, including a physician, nurses and physical therapists.

2. The hospital is part of Janesville, Wis.-based Mercyhealth.

3. Patients recovering from orthopedic fractures and neurologic issues will be treated at the new facility.
