The report includes responses from 13,575 physicians. The survey was conducted on behalf of The Physicians Foundation by Merritt Hawkins and completed in September 2012.
Here are four reasons why physicians have not installed an EHR at their practices, according to the survey:
• Do not have the money to install an EHR — 33.6 percent
• Do not have the resources or expertise to install an EHR — 26.9 percent
• Do not have the personnel to install an EHR — 20.2 percent
• Do not have the time to install an EHR — 19.3 percent
