2. Coastal Orthopaedics, Danbury Orthopedics and New Milford Orthopedics already merged in 2015 to become Western Connecticut Orthopedic Specialist. This merger reflects the addition of Connecticut Pain Care.
3. The new organization brands itself as a ‘musculoskeletal center of excellence,’ and includes 31 board-certified orthopedic and pain management specialists.
4. OrthoConnecticut offers spine and sports medicine services as well as pain management, hand therapy and physical therapy.
5. OrthoConnecticut treats patients in Danbury, Westport, Norwalk, Darien, New Canaan, Ridgefield, New Milford and Sharon. It plans to open a ninth Southbury location in September.
6. Patients may use walk-in urgent care services for orthopedic injuries at the Danbury, Darien, Norwalk and Westport locations.
7. Michael Brand, MD, and Michael Lynch, MD, serve as co-presidents of OrthoConnecticut.
