4 hospitals expanding spine programs, services

Here are four hospitals that have expanded spine programs and services in the past month:

The NorthShore Spine Center opened at Skokie (Ill.) Hospital, which offers robotic surgery, motion preservation techniques and other minimally invasive approaches to spine surgery.

Mercy Hospital Arkansas in Rogers opened a 22-bed postoperative unit for patients recovering from spine and orthopedic surgeries.

Reagan Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Ga., teamed with Dacula, Ga.-based Apex Spine and Neurosurgery to expand access to care.

Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial opened a $27 million radiation oncology center that treats tumors of the spine, head and neck.
