Four things to know about him:
1. Mr. Bateman took over after former co-presidents Jason Gleason, MD, and Douglas Lundy, MD, stepped down to focus on their clinical work.
2. Before joining Resurgens, Mr. Bateman worked at United Surgical Partners International, where he oversaw a region covering 10 states and 60 ASCs.
3. He also has experience at DaVita, where he led a team that completed hundreds of mergers and acquisitions in the dialysis and vascular access space.
4. Mr. Bateman received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Virginia Tech Pamplin College of Business in Blacksburg. He received an MBA from the Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business in Baltimore.
