Neurosurgeons Craig Coccia, MD, and Sonia Geschwindt, MD, complete the surgical team at the center.

UP Health System – Marquette is the only hospital in the region that performs cervical disc replacement, a procedure that Dr. Look specializes in.

“It’s a minimally invasive surgery that greatly improves patient outcomes and gets people back to their regular activity in just a few weeks,” Dr. Look told the news outlet. “The procedure eliminates the need for traditional stabilization measures, so most patients are discharged from the hospital within 24 hours.”

The multidisciplinary team also comprises neurologists, neuroradiologists and neuropsychologists to provide diagnosis, procedures and rehabilitation for various conditions of the brain and spine.
