The clinic provides the full spectrum of orthopedic care, including spine, joint replacement and sports medicine.

Chip Christian, MD, the main physician anchor for OrthoSouth’s Mississippi locations, is seeing patients in Hernando, which he sees as an “up-and-coming place over the next decade.”

The other orthopedic group in the area in which OrthoSouth will be competing for patients is Oxford Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, a seven-provider group.

OrthoSouth was created in 2019 when OrthoMemphis, Tabor Orthopedics and Memphis Orthopaedic Group merged, according to its website.

The group has an ASC in Germantown, Tenn., and Southaven, Miss.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
