The practice has 20 staff, including three surgeons — Nash Naam, MD, Patrick Stewart, MD, and Lisa Sasso, MD.

Increasing regulatory and administrative burdens were a significant factor in the practice joining Sarah Bush Lincoln, according to the report.

“The practice became so busy, and the regulations became so complex and confusing that we needed to give the administrative responsibilities to someone else in order to devote ourselves completely to taking care of our patients,” Dr. Naam told the publication. “With the resources of Sarah Bush Lincoln behind us, it is a great opportunity for this practice to continue to grow.”

The physicians will continue to practice at their current facility, which Sarah Bush Lincoln is purchasing.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
