Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy, Evansville-based Tri-State Orthopaedics and Fort Wayne Orthopedics plan to launch the merger in mid-2025, according to a Jan. 9 news release shared with Becker’s.
The combined entity will span 39 locations with 160 physicians. The groups will maintain separate clinical operations and operate under their current names while participating in a new, shared board of directors.
“This scale makes OrthoIndiana one of the 10 largest independent orthopedic practices in the nation, and it ensures our practices can continue to provide top-tier orthopedic care while implementing strategies to avoid the rising costs associated with healthcare nationwide,” Paul Perry, MD, president of Tri-State Orthopaedics, said in the release.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
