1. The Orthopaedic Institute in Gainesville, Fla., signed a contract for bundled payments with Florida Blue Cross Blue Shield. The agreement took effect May 25 and focuses on total and partial first-time elective joint replacements. The Orthopaedic Institute has 10 locations, including two ASCs, and 41 physicians.

2. Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedic Institute has contracted with Cigna for in-network value-based care for the practice’s offices in Florida. The practice had a longstanding relationship with Cigna prior to this new deal, which gives Cigna members in-network care at Rothman facilities effective June 1.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
