2 orthopedic groups in Cincinnati to merge

Two orthopedic groups in the Cincinnati area are merging, according to a report from Local 12, part of the Sinclair Broadcast Group.

Three details:

1. OrthoCincy Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine partnered with Wellington Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine to become OrthoCincy Wellington Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, the groups announced on Jan. 13.

2. The new group will cover orthopedic services, physical therapy and sports medicine in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Some locations will stay where they are, while others will move to nearby buildings.

3. OrthoCincy has 29 physicians and nine locations in and around Cincinnati. Wellington Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine has 21 physicians and surgeons.
