2 North Carolina orthopedic practices agree to merge, creating 40 physician group

Raleigh (N.C.) Orthopaedic Clinic and Cary (N.C.) Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Specialists signed an agreement to merge.

Three insights:

1. The two groups will join to serve Wake County, Johnson County and central North Carolina.

2. The new combined group will feature 40 physicians, more than 600 employees, 11 orthopedic clinic and urgent care facilities and two ASCs.

3. The merger will be completed by spring 2020.
