The project will add 7,500-square-feet of space and two operating rooms that will provide extra space for robotic surgical systems. The ASC currently has three joint replacement robots.

CMS’ move to permit ASCs to perform total knee replacements translated into about 150 new procedures in 2020. About 550 total joint replacements were done at the center this year.

The renovation is expected to be completed by fall 2021.
