North Dakota had the lowest number of obstetrics/gynecology physicians in 2012, according to State Health Facts, a project of the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation.

There were a total of 45,043 obstetrics/gynecology physicians in the United States in 2012.

 

The 10 states with the lowest number of obstetrics/gynecology physicians, according to the report, were:

2. Wyoming —59
3. South Dakota —73
4. Alaska —85
5. Vermont —98
6. Montana —111
7. Delaware — 136
8. Idaho —147
9. Maine —169
10. New Hampshire —186
