10 specialties with the most severely burned out physicians

Nephrologists experience burnout that is more severe as compared to physicians in other specialties, according to the Medscape Physician Lifestyle Report 2015.

For the survey, burned out physicians were asked to rate the severity of their burnout from 1 (does not interfere with my life) to 7 (so severe that I’m thinking of leaving medicine).

•    Dermatology — 4.21
•    OB-GYN/Women’s Health —4.18
•    Internal medicine —4.18
•    Family medicine — 4.17
