Stryker recently launched the company's first iPad applications for surgeons to help them enhance the patient education process and provide information about products and surgical techniques, according to a company news release.
The Stryker Flipchart application is a patient education tool designed to help orthopedic surgeons explain a hip, knee or shoulder replacement procedure and includes overviews of a normal joint, arthritic joint and replacement joint using graphics and X-Rays. Surgeons are able to customize and annotate the images.
OpTech Live application is a guide to Stryker Orthopaedics' surgical protocols with a touch screen interface. It includes information about many of Stryker's orthopedic products.
