Where former device company execs go to work

Leading spine and orthopedic device companies have served as a springboard for some executives' careers. Since Sept. 1, Becker's has reported on five moves from former executives from Stryker, Medtronic and more.

1. Raj Asapota became executive vice president and CFO of Augmedics. He was executive vice president and CFO of NuVasive from 2017 to 2020, according to his LinkedIn profile.

2. Jacob Paul became CEO of Corin Group, an orthopedic technology company. His last role was senior vice president of cranial and spinal technologies at Medtronic.

3. Stuart Simpson became president and CEO of Think Surgical. He spent nearly 24 years working at Stryker between 1995 to 2019, and his last role there was president of the joint replacement division, according to LinkedIn.

4. Spinal Elements named André Potgieter chief commercial officer and Eric Krinsky the vice president of new market development and sales operations. Mr. Potgieter was Zimmer Biomet's vice president of sales in the spine division. Mr. Krinsky was vice president of sales for NuVasive's surgical intelligence segment from 2018 to 2020, according to LinkedIn
