Devicemaker 7D Surgical has launched its Flash navigation system in Germany and Switzerland and recorded more than 30 spine procedures with the device this year.
The Flash system uses visible light to create a 3D image for spine surgical navigation, eliminating patient and staff exposure to intraoperative radiation, according to the company.
"We are excited to further demonstrate its full potential to the global healthcare community as we aggressively expand our European presence and international footprint in 2021," CEO Beau Standish said in a March 16 news release.
7D Surgical's flagship technology, the machine-vision Image Guided Surgery system, is a radiation free tool designed to replace standard fluoroscopy.
