Medical device company Alphatec Holdings launched the InVictus Occipital-Cervical-Thoracic Spinal Fixation System.

The device extends the InVictus Posterior Fixation platform to the entire spine, according to a March 15 news release.

Key features of the InVictus OCT Spinal Fixation system include:

  • Integration with Alphatec's SafeOp Neural InformatiX System for spinal fusion and Invictus Spinal Fixation System

  • Adaptation to surgical requirements intraoperatively

  • Minimizes potential tulip splay and cross-threading using helical flange technology

"In less than two years, ATEC has orchestrated, from design to commercialization, the largest system our teams have ever released. This speaks to the prowess of the Organic Innovation Machine," said CEO and Chair Pat Miles. "With the release of InVictus OCT, we are obviating the last of the legacy Alphatec products and can now offer a clinically distinct platform capable of seamlessly treating the entire spine."
