From the latest development on Zimmer Biomet's plan to spin off its spine and dental business to Conformis' plan to launch common stock, here are the latest device company notes:

1. Former Medtronic executive Vafa Jamali was appointed CEO of NewCo, Zimmer Biomet's spinoff spine and dental business.

2. Three orthopedic device companies were named on Forbes' "America's best large employers" list for 2021. The companies were New Brunswick, N.J.-based Johnson & Johnson; Marlborough, Mass.-based Boston Scientific and Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Stryker.

3. Conformis announced a public offering of common stock. It hasn't been priced yet.

4. Centinel Spine's Stalif M Flx was named a top anterior lumbar interbody fusion 3D-printed cage by SpineMarketGroup.
