14 CEO moves at orthopedic device companies — Centinel Spine, Medtronic & more

Omar Ishrak retired as CEO of Medtronic earlier this year after nine years at the helm of the company.

Here are 14 CEO moves at spine and orthopedic device companies in 2020, beginning with the most recent:

1. In November, Aspen Medical Products appointed Jim Cloar, Zimmer Biomet's former president of global spine, as president and CEO.

2. Orchid Orthopedic Solutions announced in October that Nate Folkert will replace Jerry Jurkiewicz as CEO.

3. In July, Terry Rich, former president of global spine at RTI Surgical, became CEO of the company, which has rebranded as Surgalign Holdings.

4. Marc Buntaine was appointed CEO of Synaptive Medical in July. 

5. Zynfusion named Mark Terrill CEO in May.

6. Geoff Martha took over as CEO of Medtronic in April.

7. In April, Anika Therapeutics made Cheryl Blanchard, PhD, CEO.

8. Stimwave Technologies, a developer of neurostimulation solutions for chronic pain relief, named Aure Bruneau CEO in April.

9. Orthobiologics company Bioventus appointed Ken Reali CEO in April.

10. Ken Yamada was made president and CEO of AxioMed in March.

11. In March, NanoFUSE Biologics named Jake Lubinski CEO.

12. Centinel Spine welcomed Steven Murray as CEO in March.

13. Collagen Matrix, which develops products for tissue repair and regeneration, appointed Shawn McCarthy as CEO in January.

14. In January, Rob Pace was named CEO of Osseus Fusion Systems, a developer of minimally invasive spine surgery products.
