Here are five key notes on orthopedic and spine device companies from the week:

Orthopedic device company Orthofix appointed Paul Gonsalves president of its global extremities business, according to a Sept. 14 news release.

7D Surgical completed its largest financing round to date, according to a Sept. 15 announcement.

Angel investor group Rockies Venture Club invested in 10 startup companies this summer, including Baltimore-based medical device company Spine Align.

Minimally invasive spine therapy company SpineOvations on Sept. 14 reported final results of its DiscSeal clinical trial.

Coracoid Solutions, an orthopedic device company founded by two surgeons, secured investment from Parvizi Surgical Innovation, according to a Sept. 9 news release.
