Tenon Medical recently completed the first phase of its clinical trial for the Catamaran sacroiliac joint fixation system.

Three things to know:

1. The study found a greater than 85 percent reduction in sacroiliac joint pain at six weeks.

2. Catamaran is designed for sacroiliac joint fusion for conditions such as sacroiliac joint disruptions and degenerative sacroiliitis.

3. The device enables direct visualization of the joint, which has led to an increase in reimbursement for surgeons and facility payments.
