Ulrich Medical USA launched its debut rod-screw system for spine surgery on Dec. 6

Three insights:

1. The Momentum Posterior Spinal Fixation System includes polyaxial, reduction and iliac screws for a variety of surgical reconstruction needs.

2. The Momentum system features both titanium and cobalt chrome rods and specialty surgical instruments for iliac fixation and deformity applications.

3. The first procedure using the system was completed in November by John DeVine, MD, chief of spine surgery in the department of orthopedic surgery at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University.
