The FDA recently granted 510(k) clearance for Life Spine's Hinged laminoplasty system.

The laminoplasty procedure is an alternative to laminectomy.

Life Spine's Hinged laminoplasty system was designed to allow for a custom fit for each patient and aims to decrease the need for surgeons to bend the plate intraoperatively.

The device features a screwdriver that threads on to the screw head for a secure and safe connection.
