Brainlab launched Loop-X, its mobile intraoperative imaging robot, at the North American Spine Society Annual Meeting in Chicago on Sept. 25.
Three insights:
1. The Loop-X robot automates imaging workflow steps and moves with the procedure, synchronized with devices such as robotic arms and the surgeon and staff.
2. It is designed for 2D and 3D imaging and was developed in partnership with Salzburg, Germany-based medPhoton.
3. Loop-X fuses HD images with low doses and Brainlab software to image with interlaced energies for soft-tissue visualization.
