Viseon recently received FDA clearance and reported the first clinical use of its Voyant System for spine surgery.
Four insights:
1. Voyant incorporates real-time imaging with minimally invasive surgical access technology to enhance workflow efficiency.
2. The device projects the operative field onto a HD display system within the OR and to remote locations, which can be used to facilitate training.
3. Voyant is designed for use in posterior and lateral access minimally invasive spine procedures.
4. Full market release is planned for the second half of 2020.
