Zimmer Biomet gains FDA clearance for meniscal repair device — 3 things to know
Print | EmailFDA recently provided Zimmer Biomet with 510(k) clearance for its meniscal repair device, JuggerStitch, reports Biospace.
Three things to know:
1. JuggerStitch is equipped with two soft anchors connected by a knotless, self-locking loop.
2. The device is designed to enhance tissue preservation and improve surgeons' control of the tissue compression at the repair site, compared to implants equipped with a sliding knot to lock the repair.
3. Last week, Zimmer Biomet launched its Stratum foot plating system, which it showcased at the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society Annual Meeting in Chicago from Sept. 12 to 15.
