Lake Forest, Calif.-based medical device company, Tenex Health, received FDA approval to market its latest minimally invasive technology, TX-Bone.
Four key insights:
1. TX-Bone is designed to remove pain-causing bone and calcific tissue, helping patients restore musculoskeletal function.
2. The technology is fed through a small incision, using an ultrasound or palpation guided technique.
3. It allows physicians to simultaneously identify and perform selective cutting and removal of pain-generating bone and calcific tissue, utilizing optimized ultrasound energy.
4. Applications of the TX-Bone technology include rotator cuffs, triceps, the gluteus/trochanteric region, Achilles tendon insertion, Haglund's deformity and plantar fascia insertion spurs.
