Global medical technology company Smith & Nephew launched its Werewolf Flow 90 Wand with Flow-IQ Technology on May 13.
Three things to know:
1. The 90-degree wand was designed for shoulder use but can be utilized on all soft tissue types.
2. It was developed to be used in combination with the company's Werewolf Coblation System, which has been shown to improve patient recovery and outcomes according to results from a randomized controlled trial.
3. The Coblation technology generates and applies an energy field labeled "glow discharge plasma," which removes molecules allowing for the removal of tissue.
Smith & Nephew's reported first quarter revenue of $1.2 billion in earlier this month after several significant acquisitions in orthopedics.
