Knoxville, Tenn.-based spinal-device manufacturer, ChoiceSpine, has been granted FDA clearance to market two new devices, to be used together or separately in cervical spinal fusions.
The new technologies are the Tiger Shark C interbody device with BioBond technology and the Boomerang Anterior Cervical Plate.
Three insights:

2. The device features a two-screw configuration and a single-step screw blocking tool for quick insertion and fixation of the anterior cervical spine.
3. Tiger Shark C is a 3D-manufactured titanium alloy cervical interbody device designed with BioBond technology, which is an organic, porous interbody architecture created for continuous porosity with an osteoconductive, hydrophilic surface.
ChoiceSpine is privately held by private equity firm Altus Capital Partners, which aims to make control investments exclusively in middle market manufacturing businesses.
